is it true that allah turned all the muslim children in to pigs because they refused to play with non muslims. a muslim man once told me this story. is it so?
and so muslims dont eat pork, because eating pork means eating muslim children

im sorry to blame your friend....it is absolute stupidity what your friend has told you...

A variety of substances are considered haraam (forbidden), including: pork, blood, animals slaughtered in the name of anyone but Allah, carrion, carnivorous animals with the exception of most fish and sea animals, and all intoxicants (specifically alcohol).

Kashruth (Jewish) is generally more restrictive than halaal (Islamic).

I've never heard that story, but Muslims don't eat pork simply because it is forbidden by Allah and Allah forbade Muslims to eat pork because the pig is a dirty animal.

No its not true. Pig is forbidden in Islam because its meat is not good for human body (it contain lots of fats etc.). All animals which are forbidden in Islam are because of biological and chemical reasons not just for the sake of religion.
