HERE ARE THE BASICS:

1. you lose weight by consuming fewer Calories than you burn
2. you gain weight by consuming more Calories than you burn.
3. you should be concerned with losing FAT, not weight.
4. You should be more concerned with your percent body fat, not your weight.
5. the best, most effective way or burning fat is by combining weight-training and cardio exercise. The more muscle you have, the higher your metabolism will be. You will burn more calories all day long, including while you sleep. A health body fat percentage for males is 7-18%, females 18-24% (approximate numbers).
6. you should eat 6-8 small meals each day - this will prevent you from eating 3 large meal which will slow your metabolism while your body works to digest the large quantity of food.

As a general rule of thumb, you should be weight-training 3-4 times per week and performing cardio 3-5 times per week.

Consider hiring a personal trainer (ISSA certified) and a nutritionist. The money spent on these services is worth more than spending money on pills and potions.

losing weight fast can be dangerous- it's best to lose weight over a period of time- for 20 lbs, I'd say at least one month.

The best way to do this is to have a proper diet and exercises which target those areas where the fat has collected. This way, you work the problem from both ends- you reduce the amount of caloric intake, meaning your body will start pulling from its fat reserves more, and the exercise will enhance your metabolism so that you burn more fat. I would suggest running about 1.5-2 miles 3 times a week (or whatever distance you're comfortable with) with a physical workout of at least 30 minutes- work all the muscles of the body, but again, target those areas where fat has collected.

I know some people try to lose water weight or starve themselves, so if you were thinking about trying them, neither of these work. Losing water weight only dehydrates the body, causing reduced mental and physical performance, and eventually you'll drink that much water again to restore your natural balance. Starving yourself only slows down your metabolism, because your body recognizes the fact that you aren't getting enough nutrition- your body slows down energy use to conserve what it has until you eat more. not only that, but not eating means you'll lose vital minerals which are necessary for regular bodily function. Take calcium- everyone knows it's good for bones and teeth, right? Did you know it's necessary for synaptic reactions (nerve signals)?

When you reduce your caloric intake, please make sure you're getting at least 1200-1500 calories. I would stress eating plenty of fruits and veggies, since these are packed with natual sugars (better than artificial for energy) and vitamins essential to the body, but make sure your diet is balanced.

Well, all in all, I hope that you take your time. Weight loss does take awhile, and it's something you just have to work through. Good luck!

You don’t need to exercise for hours on end. Short, sharp sets of exercise will produce better results when you work hard. Get a bypassing rope, skip for two minutes, do push ups for 60 seconds or so, skip for two minutes, rest for starters minute. Then change the push as much as something else like sit ups as well as do the set again. Repeat it five times and it’s a fast, effective workout that will progress results than a long work or swim.

I went to a 'Diet Clinic' and got some pills called 'PHENTERMINE', which are basically appetite suppressants. Depending on how big you are, your GP will prescribe them. I have a wedding to go to in a few weeks, and needed to loose a stone. In the last 2 weeks I have lost about 8lbs, so almost there!! Just put 'Weight Loss Clinics' into google and see what comes up! Good luck, and ignore the stupid idiots with their nasty jibes. xx

do u knw what 'after 6' is? it means u can eat anything(but NOT too much) BEFORE 6pm. and aftr all u can drink is water.but u can also drink a glass of juice but i recommend a lot of water everyday!exercise and sweat like a pig!sweat like hell!and drink water!dont drink soda, coffee or anything not very healthy. DRINK WATER!!like be bestfriends with water!...eat breakfast(that's the most important meal of the day cuz u need energy thru d day)and eat lunch.and dont eat dinner,snacks..etc.. and if u feel like ur already full,DONT ASK FOR MORE! and eat fast and than drink water.cuz drinking water makes you feel full quickly so then you wont feel like eating more. and if you eat slow, like your talking a lot when you're eating, the food you ate earlier will digest and then you will feel hungry or you feel like eating more cuz ur stomach will be empty.so u must eat fast and drink water!

a balanced diet! u must eat all kinds of nutrients: vegetables, fruits, proteins, calcium and other healthy stuff. but stuff like carbohydrates,fats/oil,sugar and other stuff like that...NOT very much!those stuff makes us blow up like a balloon and its not that healthy..those stuff are just for energy and it will only make us fat esp. when you dont even exercise...i know i always say this from d start,DRINK WATER! and try to do d 'after 6'...dont eat after 6pm..only water!..it will be hard from d beginning but if you do everyday,u'l get used to it and believe me,u'll lose weight more dan u wanted...
i hope it would help you..cuz this is what i did..and i lost 15kg in a month or even less...well actually didnt do it exactly like this why it took me sooo long to lose weight but if you do as i say here...you'll lose weight faster than me...good luck!Godbless!peace!
and i 4got..dont weigh urself every hour,or evryday!...weigh urself myb once a week!

Download your favourite tracks to sort out to. If you’ve committed to a half hour session every day then a 30-minute soundtrack of the very upbeat, motivating tunes will keep you pumped up!
