I want to know if there is a number that i can use to call my house from my home phone. If you try and use your own number, you will get a busy signal

There used to be,about a million years ago, but I just called AT&T and was given an emphatic, DUH!!. I have often wondered about it, as we could use such a feature around here, but it was your question that made me check it out. I can't find any one who even remembers that it used to be that way except my 84yr. old aunt

Scammers can "spoof" telephone numbers at random. I got a call that had MY own number as the calling number. The best thing is to never answer an incoming call in which you don't know the number or name. Of course this requires you to pay a small fee each month; but worth it if you are being afraid of these type calls.

Well i m here in New Delhi,India. We dont dial our telephone number from our own home......but we do have a number which we can dial n immediately after dialing n keeping the reciever back on the phone.........we get a ring on our phone.That number is 161.

hi there.. well may b i can answer dat question. if u r from india then it might just work out if ur not then i cant say.. try dialing 161 from a ur phone(landline)ok! u'll hear a phone ringing.. i dont know who's phone rings! but then when u hang up ur own phone starts ringing! n wen u pick up theres a busy tone! try it out!

only way it would work is if u had call waiting. U call ur house, hang up & it will ring you back but only if u have call waiting on ur service. we do it all the time at my house when dinner is ready
