No, you need a recipes with few ingredients simple ways and simple ways to get a gourmet result.

First all you are going to need about up to 1 hour of uninterrupted time for all of this come out great...so be patient and be careful, get out your oven mitt/or Ove Glove, and make sure you when you cut you use a well-sharpened knife but use it slowly and carefully and cut small items like garlic with a paring (and not chef) knife, if it's feels safer.

1st, gather 1 large chicken breast or several cutlets, a medium to large potatoe, and also some salad veggies ie Favorite lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, pickles, and extras like cheese, croutons, baking bits

Cut up lots of your favorite Salad veggies, plus cut up seperately for your meat some Red/Green/Yellow bell peppers, onions, and garlic.

Try putting chicken breast on foil (coat the foil with olive oil and you can place it on a cookie sheet if you want to) and putting lots of chopped up squares of FRESH onions, garlic, yellow/green/red bell peppers, even some green olives if you want, and then coat with your favorite all-purpose seasoning (my is a local latino staple, Badia's Complete Seasoning) and a drizzle with more olive oil and maybe some White cooking wine/or some juice from the Jar of Green Olives (even if you don't like Olives the juice is enough to season the meat with flavor). Cover up with more foil and then BROIL it on LOW for at least 30 -35 minutes, and when you take it out, you Should be able to cut the chicken breast with a fork, and it will be very juicy and very tasty!

Then make scrub a raw medium large potato clean and microwave it for about 4-5 minutes (quicker than baking and then you can be ready to eat soon) or microwave until you can put a fork clean through it without any difficulty.

Then toss a salad with some vinegar and olive oil.

Viola. Enjoy...if you cannot do this, then just try learning to make a great Salad first and then try the chicken again.

Now if you have any questions add, a comment! I will be happy to help, as I have been cooking well since I was 5 years old!

If you think you are helpless and you can't learn to cook... then you are probably right...

On the other hand, if you can adjust your attitude, you can learn to cook. Nobody is BORN with the ability... but you can learn it.

Get a SIMPLE cookbook and then start with easy recipes. Watch a program like Good Eats where you can learn some of the basics...

Cooking is fun and I've learned to enjoy it because there is something satisfying about making something good to eat.

No, you are not hopeless. Looks like you need to get you a few cookbooks. A good one is Betty Crocker Anniversary Cookbook. It has everything in from breakfast to dinner. If you can following directions well, you should be able to cook yourself and someone else, so you won't starve to death.

Yes, but not very. You need cooking lessons, patience and to learn the correct way to hold a knife, in the kitchen. I could help as your tutor.

Thomas Edison wasn't born inventing things...
Mark Twain wasn't born with a pencil in his hand...
Lance Armstrong wasn't born with a bicycle in his crib...
But at some point they all learned to do what made them great
You were not born with cook books, pots and pans, herbs and spices in your crib....
But through time, if you really want to...
you too will become great at what you do...
