Depends on the situation and snoring volume.
If you are married, in a good relationship and your man started to snor, then you can try to turn him since belly up the muscles that are causing the upsetting noise are relaxed, therefore the sound is louder..
On the side seems to be the best position to listen less snoreing.
If the guy gained weight or smokes, then start cooking light and convince him to quite smoking. Sometimes loosing weight and stop smoking may help.
If the guy is from the type of snoring louder and louder for then stop breathing for a while, then shake him just in case he forgets to keep on breathing. That goes of course, almost all the night around.
So far goes my experience since I am lucky enough to be married to a non snoring guy.
If we keep on going in the possibilities even further, try serum earplugs, moving to another room while having isolated the place where the snoring guy sleeps.
Now, if is about a young boyfriend, just think about the misery that will wait for you in case of living together and even more, getting married and having kids that will complain also about the noise. Normally the time only accentuates the noise, unless some other new interventions could change the reason why he senors.
Otherwise, patience and get used, or snor happy together for ever in an isolated house with deaf neighbors.

My man snores like a freight train and nothing makes it any better, so I just wear ear plugs to bed. They work well and save me from losing sleep.

i poke them in the ribs and they turn over and stop snoring...that is a temporary fix...they make adhesive strips to put on the nose to open it for easier breathing at night...try one of those
