Of course they can. In my opinion people need to learn to live on cash and within their means.

Unfortunately, in this world, not having ANY credit is a problem. Banks see someone with NO credit as a great unknown.. and a big risk. In order to get a mortgage or a car loan, you've got to have credit.

Bad credit is tougher because you are always pursued by debt collectors, junk debt buyers, and lawyers out to sue you for an unpaid debt. However. bad credit is NOT forever as long as you make it STOP. Bad credit will drop off your reports in 7-1/2 years, as long as you don't make any MORE bad debt, you'll have a chance to rebuild.

Very much so. When a person first leaves home and enters the "real world", he has no credit. It takes effort to build credit. Various things like bad decision making and worse luck can make your credit go away or become bad. In this situation you just learn to live with less.

You don t want bad credit. But you can live very well without that credit business. You don t need a credit card if you live within your means

You certainly can, but you need to essentially be prepared to pay cash for everything (cars, homes, etc.) and will find it very difficult to rent a decent apartment. So, unless you plan to live off of someone else for the rest of your life, I would recommend working diligently to establish good credit.
