WOW!! That's amazing... not only are people asking stupid questions... but now they're asking other peoples questions! Here's a clue... stop quoting other people for your questions... I'm quite sure that George Carlin wouldn't appreciate it.

While I agree with the intent of you message, your conclusions are pretty faulty. Just because homosexuals have no abortions doesn't automatically make them appealing to Christians.

I hate murderers, but that doesn't mean I'm going to be friends with everyone who's not a killer.

So, your logic is faulty, but I agree with the thought. The world would be a lot better if people could just let go of the hate, the idea that everything must be the way they think it should be and the prejudice, we'd be a lot better off.

Ghandi said something that I find to be as true today as when he said it.
"I love your Christ, but I do not love your Christians. They are so unlike your Christ."

I'm a Christian. I'm not against homosexuals, though I'm not one. I don't think abortion is a good thing, but wouldn't judge someone who has one or has had one.
There are very mean christians, who have missed the fact that Jesus taught us to love everyone, especially sinners. If you go to a church & find a lot of mean people, look for a different church.
Being "saved" by Jesus insures that you will live eternally, but does not mean that you should judge those that believe differently. The christian life is actually very liberating.

Good point, but homosexuals can't have children. Therefore, it's unnatural in the first place. So if science/anatomy says you shouldn't be together, why should religion accept you as well?

It's kind of like a donkey having sex with a horse and producing a mule. The mule is sterile and basically his existence (according to science) is useless since it cannot reproduce. Therefore, you're the end of your blood line. So give it up and stop trying to mate.

i partialy agree, but not all the way. yes, a woman has a rite to her own body, and yes she should be allowed to give up her baby if she doesnt want it. i mean, think of the alternitive. she wouldeither never realy care for it, or she might put the baby up for adoption. but if everyones religeon allowed them to have an abortion, then the number of children in the world would drop dramaticly, leaving people who cant have children(old weomen, homo's) prety much skrewed. also, i wholhartedly agree that homo's(my apologies if this is insulting anyone) should be alowed to stay gay. i think that its wrong to force someone to mary someone they dont love. if you loved aomeone, you wouldnt want the world to frown on you just becaus you have the same body parts. men and weomen were made the way they are so they would be able to have babies. if someone is willing to not have a baby, or even adopt one, so they can love who they want, i say, go for it. so no, we cant live and let live, the world would be better and also worse. also, homo's actualy dont have many abortions. then again, ive never heard of a christian homo. and again, no. there are very few religions who can even be around eachother, but the thought of them becoming alies is perposturus, but its a good thought(people, i dont actualy have a religion, so im not stiking up for anyone, just telling wat i think). lastly, yes. it is judgemental, but all of americas judgmental, and now theyve gone so far its in there religions. there all like miny hitlers. anyone whos not like them should go. this is also another reason why they would never be alies

what you do with your sex life is your business, the Bible does not ONLY say homo sex is wrong, it has a whole list of sexual sins, including sex before marraige. I cannot and will dictate my morals on you or anybody else. You know the difference between right and wrong, that is your choice. But...when it comes to abortion, which is plain and simple murder, it's everybodies business. Even a person that is not of a religious nature can tell you that life is sacred. One does not have to believe in a higher power to know murder is wrong. What if your mom had decided to abort you? Are you glad you are here?

I'm not against abortion because I'm a Christian.

I'm not against homosexuals because I'm a Christian.

Now, get off your soapbox.

As long as I'm a registered voter, There will be neither of the 2.

Your problem lies within the Political field. I have 8 years of Vietnam that says, I will vote how I choose. You have a problem with that? get over it.

Which is really odd since there is no biblical prohibition against either.

Thumpers seem to just make things up as they go along and then try to find some words in the bible to support their opinions.

I wonder why they don't condemn usury? It's condemned far more than sex. And, abortion isn't even mentioned in the bible.

Christians are against homosexuality (though this is changing), because God put us on this earth to be "fruitful" (meaning to bear children). Being a homosexual would make this quite challenging I would think. Christians believe that if you love and make a home with one of your gender, then you wouldn't be able to fulfill Gods plan of populating the earth, and "going against" God's laws, in their eyes, is plain wrong.

They are against abortion because they are against killing (see the ten commandments). They are against homosexuality because they feel that that was not the way god intended sexual relations between a man and a women to be (see the story of Sodom and Gomorrah.) It is two totally separate issues for them.

+ Pro-Life +

Abortion is not about live and let live. It is about killing a human being, a child of God.

The Catholic Church is not just against abortion, it is pro-life in the widest sense. This is often called a "Consistent Ethic of Life."

This pro-life stance stresses the highest regard for dignity of human life including that of:
- All people in objecting to unjust war and nuclear arms.
- The unborn in objecting to to abortion, in fitro fertilization, frozen embryos, embryonic stem cell research, and cloning
- The elderly, sick and dying in objecting to assisted suicide and euthanazia
- Prisoners in objecting to the death penalty
- The poor and minorities in supporting social justice issues.

For more information, see the Catechism of the Catholic Church, sections 2259 and following: http://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/pt3sect2chpt2art5.htm#2259

+ Homosexuality +

The Catholic Church believes there is nothing sinful about being homosexual. But homosexuals like all unmarried people are called to celibacy.

The Church specifically says, "They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided."

For more information, see the Catechism of the Catholic Church, section 2357-2359: http://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/pt3sect2chpt2art6.htm#2357
