If im not mistaken, your camcorder is of miniDV type and being that, the unit has (surely enough) a firewire or i.link port (ieee1394), and also a usb port too. From there connect the supplied firewire (or usb) cable to the camcorder and the other end goes to the firewire (usb) port of the computer. You don't need the installation cd for this. What you need is an editing or capturing software for you to be able to upload the videos. If you don't have one, feel free to choose from among hundreds of free/trial softwares available at the net.

happy uploading!

I have a JVC Digital cam corder and the software is provided is very poor, there are several reveiws all saying the same , I found Windows Movie maker to be as good as any and that comes with win XP home . Just connect your cam using a USB port .

I looked up your camcorder but couldn't find much info in English. Look at your connectors that came with the cam. Are they composite cables? Red, white, sound and yellow-video. Or is it an IEEE type cable. Just one cable going from your cam to computer. Or is it usb? You must have inputs on your computer before this will work and also a program to receive the video when you do get it to work. Sorry, but I don't have enough info to help more at this time.

ok see if your camera have the "firewire port" it is an Input/Output port in which would be used to download & upload videos to a pc. If your camera have a firewire then see if your pc have one if not then buy a firewire port depending on what pc you got(lap top or desktop). Next buy a editing software you may choose adobe or pinnacle or any other brand but I used pinnacle.

I did a search for you camera and found mostly "repair parts".

You may need to use a TV tuner card to capture video with that camcorder.
