my girlfriend has this guy, for the purpose named *Tom*, Tom is mentally retarded. My gf and Tom never went out, but they did have sex and Tom swears they dated. This happened about 3 years ago and after my gf broke off with Tom he pretty much left her alone. But yesturday i was hanging out with my gf at her house and Tom decided to IM her on MSN. I asked my gf for the story on him. Basically Tom is my gf's stalker, he wont leave her alone, heres the hard part. Tom believes they're still going out, that they have been dating for the past 5 years. Me and my gf have been dating for 9 months, and i can safely say there is no end in sight. My gf doesnt have the balls, to say, to tell Tom that they broke up a long time ago, but about everyday or so she dumps him again, and the next day he acts like it didnt happen at all. I dont wanna be a dick and tell him off, and neither does my gf, so theres the challenge, how do i get Tom off my gf's back? not for me, but for her?

First your g/f has to take some of the blame for this. Having sex with a mentally handicapped person is not a good thing. You and Your girlfriend needs to go to his parents or care giver that he has and sit down with them and explain things to him with their help. He still won't totally understand everything but you being there with her will help him understand she is not alone. Then take him off the msn list and put him on ignore that will stop the messages. She will then have to cut all communication with him and eventually he will move on to something else that interest him. AS long as she is responding to him he feels that she is still in his life. But do not be harsh to him he has had a rough enough life and didn't ask for the way he is. He is just looking for someone to love him and that is what your g/f did. Just think if you were the one on the other end how you would want it to be handled. I wish the best for you and your g/f and a happier future for Tom bless his soul.

If Tom is mentally retarded then he should have a caregiver and that would probably be the best place to start. You have to be careful in a situation like this because you never know how Tom will react.

Mentally retarted people do not reason things out the way other people do. In his mind the fact that they had sex means they are in love.

Plus, having sex with someone that is mentally retarded is actually againt the law, it is taking advantage of a vulunerable person.

wow! thats most definetly a challenge. but your doing a good thing by not being a dick and going off. obvisiouly like you said he is mentally challenged. so there might be a point that you sit Tom down and tell him that he and your gf are over. but there might be a chance that you and gurl move because he is going to cause you guys to have arguments over him and then you'll be out a good relationship i suppose. i think that you should maybe put him a place where he can get the mental care that he needs. because he is certainly becoming an issue in yalls relationships.

Ever heard of my fifty first dates (the movie)? Write a note sign it and attach it to a rope to hang onto him like a sign as a constant reminder when he wakes up he doesn't go out with your girlfriend. Other than that get the cops involved or the people that are now taking care of him. He needs someone in an authority position that he listens to in his life to handle this.

Listen buddy whatever you do wont help. First its your girlfriend who needs to work things out for herself. This person is trying to take advantage of her. She should understand that she should STOP BEING NICE to a guy like this.
