I believe in life after death because my husband died four years ago and I have had clear signs that he is around me. It's not anything that's at all spooky. It's very reassuring and comforting to know he's still with me. No...I'm NOT trying to make things happen. I'm just telling you that I didn't really have any proof before, but now I do.

Yes i believe in life after death. Actually, according to Hindu belief, after death physical body serves no purpose, so it is consigned to the flames so that the five elements that constitute the body return to nature. However, soul is immortal. According to spiritual belief, it is reborn.

There are innumerable instances when people have recounted their experiences in the last birth. These were confirmed to be true. This is scientifically called paranormal phenomena - something beyond the scope of normal scientific understanding.

Yes,most religions and individuals that are spiritual believe that as well many as you are on the fence. If you are asking Christians then it all makes sense.Just like identical twins have different personalities from birth and only the mother can tell them apart, where did that special personality and difference from the other come from if not from a creator? The mother had nothing to do with it, right? To me that is a good proof of God and in the bible in Ephesians 1, it says all were known long ago and we belong to Christ for he died to save us, and I believe we return. I would hate to think that mankind is so into himself that I would be assured he would die for me and my faith was in his hands, I mean right here in Yahoo we can't agree..You can go through your life fighting and struggling and worrying obeying laws and rules and then what?

Yes. Jesus died on the cross to open the gates of eternal life for us, so yes, there is life after d.eath
I do not believe that there is life after d.eath because I am afraid of d.eath Christians also believe in Hell, remember? Thats scarier than having no existence at all. If fear was the main reason for believing in eternal life, we would not believe in Hell.

Life after death is like virginity after childbirth.

Christianity? Jesus? Dying?

What is the Imacculate Conception supposed to mean?

(NOT A VIRGIN BIRTH! - Google Imacculate Conception. What else do you falsely believe? )

Jesus, the basis of Christianity? .

If Jesus died, he could NOT have been God.

Gods do not die? Do they?

If Jesus 'died' on Friday and 'undied' on Sunday, what else besides Saturday was sacrificed?

Did Jesus give up Saturday for us? Big deal!

If Jesus died for our sins, there should not be any more sins, else why go through with it?.

If Jesus really DIED, he should be dead, dead, dead!

If the flesh of Jesus died, what was seen walking and talking on Sunday?

If you swallow this stuff, you are not going to like the folks who don't. You want them to swallow it too.

Christians want everyone to convert to their non-thinking in order to be 'saved'.

Believing and not thinking is like choosing a mental illness and becoming truly lost.

no i do not....the only reason people believe in it is because either sub conciously or conciously we are afraid of death and want to think that there will be a happy place to go when we physically die...just because we are aware that we are living doesnt mean that there has to be an after life...no other animals are self aware..

Nope. I've never seen a dead person with any signs of life. That would be like believing that gravity causes things to fall up.

yes -because Jesus and others in the bible says its so-a heaven of joy from recieving the more abundant life in Jesus -John chapter 10, and Revelation 22nd chapter-about hell for rejecting Jesus and the bible-John 12 verse 18 He that rejecteth me and my word... the same will be judged in the last day.
hell is described as torment forever and gnashin teeth-Revelation 21st chapter for rejecting as said before the joy of salvation and the new birth John chapter 3

yes. the night my father died, i saw him bending down to kiss my children as they slept. i let them sleep in the front room so they could watch tv to fall asleep by, and maybe not miss grandpa so badly. i wasn't looking for this, i was studying for a test i would be taking the next day at my local community college. a few years later i was in my car waiting for my daughter to come out of a friends house, and i remembered hurtful childhood events in which my father did not believe me. i said to myself "why, dad"? to my surprize, his voice came over the tape i was listening to, saying "i'm sorry, i'm so sorry". it was jarring. it did let me know that he was there, somewhere. it wasn't clear, it was static, but understandable. i no longer fear dying, just maybe the pain you suffer until you do die.
