I wasn't sure what a synago was, so searched the web. I recommend that you might want to check with a few churches that already have one up and running. Here is one that seemed to have a nice website. http://www.howgreatisourgod.com/

With the type of people on this forum, I doubt that you will get much useful advice.

Also for all the people answering this question, Synago is not Synagogue. It is a type of Christian Youth group.

Do you mean a synagogue?

Synagogue is, of course, usually applied to Jewish places of worship but it is a Greek word meaning 'without a teacher' and (in the Jewish sense) means a place of worship without a Priest.

There is no reason why a youth group should not have a worship/discussion group which they organise themselves. It will help to show them the side of Church work that has very little to do with 'religion' and a great deal to do with organisation and hierachy. Hopefully, it will help them become more responsible and intelligently questing about religion as well.

If you were thinking of running a service on Jewish lines, why not contact your local Jewish community to see if they would like to be involved?

Edit: Well done, bobm! I couldn't find that link. It explains a lot - though NOT why it's called 'Synago'!

Edited after reading BobM's reply (below).

Synago appears to be an informal youth group.

Perhaps you should invite your Christian friends over to your house to discuss the bible and you will then have your "synago."
