People seem so judgemental of Christians and mean-spirited towards them. People who are not Christians seem so hypocritical.

You seem to have it backwards. I'm an atheist and don't care what people believe.

I've yet to hear an atheist (or anyone else) condemn others to hell for refusing to adopt their beliefs.

There are two sides to this coin.

One is that some Christians have been more of a stain rather than a shining light. They have misrepresented the faith, or seriously hurt people without thinking or caring about the consequences.

The other side which happens more often actually, is that Christian beliefs challenge many mindsets and to admit it is to change many of their deep-rooted perspectives on life. Most people prefer to pursue their own truth rather than pursue the big picture.

Just do the best you can to be a real Christian that shines with God's love, making no apologies for what the Bible stands for. As long as you do things in love and wisdom, rather than being judgmental, you'll be fine. :)

I think it's because SOME Christians are judgmental and mean-spirited toward them. They are even that way toward other Christians if they don't approve of the church they attend. Also, some of the biggest hypocrites we've seen (Jimmy Swaggart comes to mind) turn out to be Christians who were rather judgmental themselves.

I'm a Christian. I've seen many non-Christians who don't like us. But then there are also some Christians who are wrongly interpreting this religion and arguing stupidly.
What this world truly lacks is TRUE CHRISTIANITY. A true Christian is one who loves his neighbor and follows the 10 commandments.(if not all then atleast the humantarian ones, for eg, i don't find it bad not to keep the sabbath day holy as long as ur not lying, not stealing, not killing and not commiting adultery.)

You started it! You won't leave others alone, you think you have the right to convert every single person but for thousands of years you've hurt them. Take a look at every country missionaries went to - how are the indigenous treated!

You are smug hypocrites who will kill Jesus again when he comes back.

Right now rich evangelists in this country are encouraging Israel to kill its neighbors because the bible says they must. My race was enslaved for hundreds of years because you said the bible said to do it.

I could go on and on but you will just ignore it and feel sorry for yourself

Because If they admit that Christians have a point and that Jesus is the only way then they also have to admit that they're sinners. That's something pride just wont let them do.
Its just easier for them to act as their flesh wants "hatefully!"
Its something how you can mention Allah.Buddha, etc and people don't mind what you have to say about it.But mention the name "Jesus" and watch out !!

It's sad, but some people just feel the need to constantly put us down. Perhaps when they hear the Truth it strikes a nervem or perhaps they are just jealous of our happiness.

Or maybe they just have nothing better to do.

The Bible predicited that people would rebuke us and not accept our message.

God bless!!!

People have there own beliefs.I could ask the same question about us witches, and about 95% of the people would answer that we are devil worshipers. It really doesn't matter what other people think, just you.
