I am going to do one or the other I just can't decide what one to go for.

Good for you, that takes alot of guts to join stuff like that. Im sure its hard work and I totally respect people who are willing to go into stuff like that. Good Luck in your decision!

I have a son in the Air Force, also one that was in the Navy. Now have a roomie that is currently in Army for 16 years. He says that he believes the Air Force takes care of their people better. Better housing facilities, benefits-education, and upgrades in rank are faster. go for what ever suits you, just don't let them promise to put you anywhere when you get in, that doesn't happen unless you have some college already.

As a former member.........military is good but college is better......NOT criminal justice.get a degree in Education or a degree you can use outside the job. Physical training, Physical training, Physical training! Be driven and determined and learn to operate as a team member not the star. Tough helps but compassionate and caring is better............Swat wants to save lives not take lives only as a last resort............good luck

Why would you want to join under the Bush Administration. Everyone with half a brain knows this Administration is corrupt and evil.

You don't have to join the military to become a cop or SWAT officer. You would be better off getting a college degree and then becoming a cop.

go for Military Police when you join the Army.......
to get into law enforcement, you need at least 2 years of college focusing on criminal justice or 2 years military service ( MP preferred )

If you are a good shot, try for a sniper. The army needs snipers right now. If not, something else will be good too...

Go for SWAT! You would have to travel and leave a lot in the military( I know, I was in there) and in the police force you could be home everynight!! ;-)

the military is an excellent starting point. You get the training and can go to college as well. Moreover you get paid.

Very good idea, I sold my business now becoming a cop....
But you do not need to join the military first.
