First thing, health aside, it tastes nasty, burns your thoat, and makes your teeth feel fuzzy. Why would anyone want to drink something that takes the paint off of your car, and can clean your battery terminals?

Is it healthy? Well, Coke is mostly chemicals that are processed through the liver and put a very large strain on it. It can raise your LFTs (liver enzymes) which over time can cause liver damage and eventually necesitate a liver transplant. You really need your liver, and if it is not healthy you feel like crap and can effect everything in your life.

Oh yeah, and don't forget all the sugar that makes you fat.
So, I would have to say, no, Coke is not healthy for you.

Coca Cola has medicinal qualities. In the tropics during summer if you eat any food you are not sure of the quality then wash it down with Coca Cola your stomach will not get upset. Maybe it kills bacteria.

I was stunned to read in Encarta (online encyclopedia) that the coca part of coca cola is actually coca leaf extract, the stuff cocaine is made out of. They claim to 'only' put a 'trace' amount in it and when I contacted cocacola to ask them about it they said they couldn't tell us what the contents consisted of since it was a trade secret but they were safe. Ha. We are feeding our children trade secrets. You judge for yourself.

It's a soft drink so there is no real nutritional value to it. It also puts sugar and a lot of extra calories in your diet.

As for impact on human health, it's bad, but it tastes so good.
