When I was a kid there was a boy in my 2nd grade class who couldn't pronounce certain letters and the school brought in a speech therapist for him. If you're in school (even up through high school) this may be an option for you, ask your teacher or your counselor or the nurse. If you're a teen, ask your parents if there is speech therapy offered through their health insurance. If you're an adult, or without insurance, try thumbing through the yellow pages under doctors or possibly specialists for speech-language pathologists. You also may find this link helpful:

It's a link to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Good luck!

Chinese have this same problem with the "r" alphabet. If you have a shorter than average tongue it would be problematic because you need to roll it... open your mouth say "aaahhhhrrrr" rolling the tongue at the end. Perhaps a speech therapist at a language lab may be helpful.

Form your mouth/lips into an oval shape.

Make a "guttural" sound like you're trying expel something from your throat. You will feel your tonsils vibrate in a forward/outward motion. This may give your "r" sound as "rolling the 'r"', but you will be able to correct that in time, if desired.
As you make the sound, close your mouth, slightly, not fully.

open your mouth and say "gaaaa" and slowly close your mouth. it should be your first step to making the R sound. with practice you can start saying other words and wont have to close your mouth.
