Well, my mom loves cameras and she likes Olypmus. But she owns a Fugiflim which is okay. I'm getting a sony camera soon, like in about 4 days and I have work with sony before and there good camera. A lot of the cameras are good it's just that you should ask Bestbuy which one is the best. My family has so many cameras that work just about the same, so I really can't say which kind is the best. e-mail me if you want to know the best camera to buy because my mom isn't here right now. But, I can tell you later if you want to know. see ya

Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, Panasonic, and Sony are among the better ones.

Personally I don't like Sony because it's just too exclusive. For an SLR, Canon and Nikon would be a preferred choice. Canon, Fujifilm, Panasonic, and Sony make terrific compact digital cameras. It all depends on the model of the camera you are buying.

You should try doing a bit of research at camera websites before buying anything. The reviews will help you decide which is the best camera for you and then you can decide which is the brand that you want. Most of them have sample pics so you'll know what these cameras can give you.
