When ull say Jesus is the only way and if u dont follow him u shall go to hell...dont ull stop and think that he means GOD and that he is referring to himself as that was the only way ppl wud know at that time he was reffering to GOD.Had he told sum other GOD then ppl wud think y he is making us follow this religion and telling sumone else is GOD.That those who dont follow God at all in any form wud suffer and not those who wud not follow christanity.Im sure its not given in exact statement that" if u dont follow christanity u shall go to hell".Nor did he badmouth any other God so I think Jesus meant follow GOD...and only if u dont follow GOD ur goin suffer.Wot d u think?

I think you're getting yourself all tangled up in a complexity that doesn't really exist.

Christ said He and the Father were one! That's as flat-footed a declarative statement as you're ever gonna read.

And just because He is the ONLY WAY to the Father doesn't mean that those who never heard of Him are in trouble.

You must remember that being God all He does has an eternal aspect. That is, He operates in eternity, which is all NOW. So when any person breathes their last, the first thing they see is Jesus, arms outstretched, big smile lighting His face while He says, "Come. Follow me." You either do or you don't. You see Him as He really IS, the Lord God, in all His glory. He's very followable.

This is the problem with all religions, they create bigotry through fear. People are afraid that someone is going to shake their faith, therefore, they blindly focus on what they have been taught. These teachings are designed to keep the flock together, safe from the wolves that would prey upon the weak ones. The weakest need the safety in numbers (members) of the religious cult (all religions are cults) to which they belong. The leaders must have some reason to maintain the faith of the group. It is very easy to lead the weak people of any society to believe what has been believed before them. In some places (Iran, for example) there is no distinction between the state and the "church" or Islamic law. This is a theocracy in which all citizens of Iran must be Muslim, subject to Islamic law which is also the civil law of the country. All this "god" stuff is designed to maintain control through ignorant fear of non-existent conditions of the "soul" or "spirit" in the imaginary "afterlife."

Jesus is God and he meant exactly what he said. If he did not mean what he said, then why did he not say what he meant? I did not make the rules, God did. If God says that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life; no one cometh unto the Father, but by me, then that is what he means. The blood atonement of Jesus forgives sins and you cannot get into heaven without the blood covering of Jesus. This is a fact because the Bible says so. Jesus loves you. Trust him. Why risk arguing with God?

We don't say it, Jesus said it hon. He said "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one can get to the Father except through Me."

You are correct in that the whole purpose is for us to have a relationship with God. That's the big picture. A more mature Christian will tell you that if you are lost, and can't find God, then the only way to get to Him is to follow in the footsteps of Jesus. It will lead you right there to God's throne.

I did not understand your details in any way whatsoever but tell me if what I'm going to say is right.

Jesus said that He "..is the Way, the Truth, and the Light. No one comes to the Father except through..." Him. Tat eans if you don't follow Jesus... which is the same as doing BAD things... then you'd go to hell. That's what He meant. And even if you have a different religion you would not go to hell and suffer if you do what your religion tells you to do.

Listen here. Either you take the verse literal or you dont. Dont kill youself over it. Its not the only verse in the bible that says we go to hell if we die without Christ. Read and find out. Dont take shots in the dark, put a little light on the subject. By the way, Jesus is God the Son.

Assuming there is a heaven, there would not be multiple styles of worship. Isnt that what got us in this mess in the first place - everyone doing what was right in their own hearts. In fact Jesus was constantly on the Jewish leaders of the time for how corrupt their worship was. If it didnt matter how you worshipped then Jesus wouldnt have had any issue with them

John 14:6 (NIV):

6Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Exodus 34:12-16 (NIV):

12 Be careful not to make a treaty with those who live in the land where you are going, or they will be a snare among you. 13 Break down their altars, smash their sacred stones and cut down their Asherah poles. [a] 14 Do not worship any other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.

15 "Be careful not to make a treaty with those who live in the land; for when they prostitute themselves to their gods and sacrifice to them, they will invite you and you will eat their sacrifices. 16 And when you choose some of their daughters as wives for your sons and those daughters prostitute themselves to their gods, they will lead your sons to do the same.

I don't think Jesus left any doubt on the subject. He said "I am the way the truth and the light. No man comes to the Father but by me." Clear enough?
