has arthritis and the pain meds that they gave her are making her throw up they said discontinus the meds is there something they can do adjust doseage Or give new meds do you know of any inexpensive meds no online sites please these can be potentally hazardous

They have a couple meds for kitties. Cosequin, Metacam (which I think maybe an "off label" drug for cats) I don't think there are as many as there is for dogs, unfortunately. But those I have mentioned should be available by your vet, and they may even have more suggestions. These are the only 2 I have seen used regularly and work well.

best thing to do is call your vet and ask them if there is another med to try. have you tried giving your cat food before you give the med and then after one of my cats has a sensitive stomach and antibiotics will tend to make him throw up but if we feed him before and after the med then he is fine.

get some glucosamine tablets from the local supermarket

ask your vet what dosage to use as it will depend on the cat's size

if you want the best care for your cat you will have to take some money out. the best medications are expansive.
