Junkfood is good to you and bad for you. When I get depressed, I want nothing but junk food. I guess it gives me a high to keep me from feeling low. I am rarely depressed. Also, when I am bored I need junk food. I guess I am looking for that sugar rush. I have tried to cut it from my life, but have recently faced the fact that it just Ain't Gonna Happen.

I actually cut out a lot of carbs all week just so that I can have a fresh honey bun or bag of chips.

I'm a sucker for ice cream. You must exercise control. You decide when you want to eat this type of food. If you want a healthy body, you already know what to do. If you're burning enough calories and active enough you can afford to have a snack here and there.

The sugar, salt, and flavoring that is often put in junkfood makes it a double edged sword. It only fills your hunger up to a point, and makes you crave more. Honey roasted peanuts are a great example of this.

I know a lot of people, including myself, that can not stop eating them once you start! This is part of the marketing of this kind of food.

Remember, when humans were living much simpler lives hundreds of years ago, these foods were not found in nature. We are eating processed, fatty foods, that fool our bodies into thinking they are a high source of energy. Its human nature to seek out food with as much taste as possible. Because in the past, thats what we needed to absolutely survive.

I'm addicted to Krispy Creme donuts, if that isn't one of the worst sort of junk foods for you, I don't know what is.

I have kids as well, of course everyone elses kids eat junk food, chips, sodas, cookies, overly processed foods, candy....and my kids want the same. I don't keep any of that sort of stuff at the house so it isn't something they worry about too much. I do still order a pizza, soda and bake brownies or cookies every other weekend as part of one of our various family nights. I grew up next to a kid whos mom wouldn't allow him any candy or sweets at all. He grew up to be incredibly fat, when he moved out he ate all the forbidden foods 24/7.

So not that you have some background on my opinion here is my answer...

Junk food is great in moderation like anything else. I'm not saying that it is healthy just that sometimes it tastes perfect. Sort of a bottle of beer instead of a keg with your grilled chicken. There needs to be limits though, your food intake shouldn't be adversely affecting your health. Keeping yourself or young children completely away from that sort of foods doesn't really serve a purpose. If anything for some people, such as that kid next door, it turns into an obsession over what they can't or are not allowed to have. A small bit can't harm you.

yes, junkfood is the delicious way to ruin your body and mind,
it has no food value,
people get more diseases, cancer, diabetes, ms obesity etc.

and the children are fatter, at a younger age, (due to human or some growth hormone) IN COWS PIGS, AND THEN IN THE MILK THE COWS ARE MORE PLUMP ETC WE BUY EAT OUR CHILDREN CONSUME, WE CONSUME ETC,

OUR BODIES HAVE TOO MUCH TRAANS FATS, AND NOT ENOUGH GOOD FATS, THEN TUMORS CANCER, ARTHRITIS, ETC,

THEN ALL THE SICK PEOPLE LNEED MEDICINE, AND THEN THE Pill makers, the billikon trillion dollars in drugs and medications, is stagering, and and finding cures, eating well lnatural organic foods that the body needs, and thrives on are discounted, and not taken seriously.

It's full of "empty calories" - fat, sugar, sodium. These calories do nothing to nourish you, but can lead to major health problems.
It's also full of ingredients that you can't pronounce and that are made of substances which could be harmful (petroleum, for instance). Many of these ingredients are added to preserve the product's shelf life, NOT your life.
And those are my insights on junk food.
