It is a horrible feeling not trusting someone but it is even worse not to be trusted. In answer to your question I don't believe there is a way you can tell if he is lying but if he has done something to make you not trust him maybe you shouldn't be with him.
Sometimes you get hurt by someone and maybe it leaves you questioning your future relationships but you do have to learn to trust again in order to be happy and enjoy a healthy relationship.

I believe looking into his eyes will tell alot of the story so to speak. Then eventually all the lies will be revealed. As far as my ex was concerned, he lied everytime he took a breath and it took me a while to realize it. I hope it works out for you and doesn't take you a long time either.

Watch the eyes and also drill down into random detail. If his eyes go up right of left to remember the detail then it is true. If they go downwards then he is making it up. First of all try it on something he cant lie about, like his favourite drink as a child. Obviously this doesnt work if he has two glass eyes!

Get him to look you in the eyes! if there is a lie being told you will know!
But saying that he could be a very good lier!

Watch his eyes. If he avoids looking at you, he probably is lying and watch is bottom lip. See if it quivers or turns white.

well, if you don't trust him, go w/ that, or just get him completely drunk and ask him nicely, say you won't get mad and stuff
