A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic - on the level with a man who says he is a poached egg - or he would be the devil of hell. You must take your choice. Either this was, and is, the Son of God, or else a madman or something worse. You can shut Him up for a fool or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us.

Jesus was a common man who was probably a slight lunatic, since he started the cult of christianity, with his disicples spreading his word, except how stories get passed they get embellished, and the tall tales printed in the bible about the great words and acts of jesus were just to make him look like a better person for those who would eventually follow the cult. Wonderful question, wonderfully put.

"Afterward Christ came, saying, "I am born of the Holy Spirit." Though it is now easy for the Christians to believe this assertion, at that time it was very difficult. According to the text of the Gospel the Pharisees said, "Is not this the son of Joseph of Nazareth Whom we know? How can He say, therefore, I came down from heaven?" (Cf. John 6:42.)

Briefly, this Man, Who, apparently, and in the eyes of all, was lowly, arose with such great power that He abolished a religion that had lasted fifteen hundred years, at a time when the slightest deviation from it exposed the offender to danger or to death. Moreover, in the days of Christ the morals of the whole world and the condition of the Israelites had become completely confused and corrupted, and Israel had fallen into a state of the utmost degradation, misery and bondage. At one time they had been taken captive by the Chaldeans and Persians; at another time they were reduced to slavery to the Assyrians, then they became the subjects and vassals of the Greeks; and finally they were ruled over and depised by the Romans.

This young Man, Christ, by the help of a supernatural power, abrogated the ancient Mosaic Law, reformed the general morals, and once again laid the foundation of eternal glory for the Israelites. Moreover, He brought to humanity the glad tidings of universal peace, and spread abroad teachings which were not for Israel alone but were for the general happiness of the whole human race.

Those who first strove to do away with Him were the Israelites, His own kindred. To all outward appearances they overcame Him and brought Him into direst distress. At last they crowned Him with the crown of thorns and crucified Him. But Christ, while apparently in the deepest misery and affliction, proclaimed, "This Sun will be resplendent, this Light will shine, My grace will surround the world, and all My enemies will be brought low" And as He said, so it was, for all the kings of the earth have not been able to withstand Him. Nay, all their standards have been overthrown, while the banner of that Oppressed One has been raised to the zenith.

But this is opposed to all the rules of human reason. Then it becomes clear and evident that this Glorious Being was a true
Educator of the world of humanity, and that He was helped and confirmed by divine power.

Jesus was the Son of God, and the evidence supporting this is greatly against you. If Jesus was a lunatic, how did he rise from the dead? I don't care abnout any argument you have against the Resurrection, it happened and I can probably prove any theory you have suggesting he didn't rise from the dead WRONG! Jesus is truly Father and Son, God humbling himself to walk among us.

You are a complete a**hole for calling Catholics fools for believing in the only religion the leads you directly to God. Jesus will save all of us, or, maybe he'll just send you to hell on the spot!

Jesus was first and foremost a man.
wiether he was a great moral teacher is left to the readers opinion as he is not here for us to ask.
as far as to what he was it is left to you in faith to fined out what he was or is to you.
weither you see him as a person, the embodyment of god or devil is strictly the individuals perspective.
if he was a great human teacher then that is what he was, but it is up to the individual to make that decision.
most of it is just about faith.

Jesus Christ is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
He is the Son of God, yet God - part of the Godhead.

Jesus is the centrepiece of our civilisation. We call what happened before Him 'BC' and what happened after him 'AD'

I agree with you again. He was the Son of God, the Christ Consciousness, The Enlightened One, whom by his example of having achieved perfect spiritual evolution, and unification with the One, gave Humankind the example to follow. Again, thank you.

Jesus is "God among us". God himself comes to us and dies for our sins. A man who preached love and forgiveness and self sacrifice, who gave his life in obedience to His Father for mankind's salvation, who leads by example, who establishes a church, who gives his body and blood so we can partake and become one with him forever, who will come again in Glory in fullfillment of scriptures, who gives us his Mother so mankind never be devoided of motherly love, protection and intersection, who spend his whole mortal life taking care of others. I guess you are right, what the hell was He thinking?? He should have listened to the devil and just live a "Holliwood life" have all the women he wanted, drugs, violence, the heck with humanity, His motto should have been ""I got mine, screw you" That would make you feel better.... That's the "morality he should have taught' ? Well I have bad news for you.... Jesus gave his life willingly to buy our freedon from sin for all who wants it. To restore and maintain our friedship with God forever! I don't think the Lord will be too happy with you if you try to persuade, confuse, remove, his children from his love. Anyone who turns away from God because of you, Ay,Ay,Ay... I believe you will have to answer to him personally. Take the devil, for example.... condemned to eternal pain, suffering, devoided of the love of God,, of His life... believe me YOU don't want that. My friend, let's not forget we are not dealing with a mere mortal. If you believe there is a God, all powerlull and ever -living, then you better spend your time learning what it is that he wants from you rather than spreading non-sense rethoric about his teachings. I believe your time will be better spent and your life will finally be fulfilled. Amen

Jesus or Christ (god's blessings be upon him) is a messenger of God (not his son). He is the son of Mary the virgin.
