why don't you start with Hi whats up? Im (doing or going) here what are you doing? Hey you wanna go with me or us to (where ever)? if he is busy then maybe some other time. and say you have to go. See what he says and go from there.
If he likes you he will find a way to go or aleast see you again. If he doesn't then he doesnt like you. Don't read too much into what he says. If he wants to be with you this will be his oppurtunity. if not then you know he dont' like you and move on
