as long as she's old enough, your kitty WILL eat dry food if that's all that's made available to her. She might pout a day or two but she'll be fine.

how old is she?
could be the dry food is too big for her if she's really young.
if she's under four montes give her royal canin baby cat 34 it's small and it's really good they love it.
if she's over 4 montes give her pro plan kitten also great food really good.
my guess will be that she got used to the soft food, just stop giving it to her until she will start eating only dry food. just leave the dry food in a bowl next to her water she will become hungry sooner or later and will eat. she won't do it while she has something much nicer which smells batter to eat.

Get the hard food that you are planning on feeding and soak it and smash it to the consistancy of the canned (think soggy cereal in a blender) do this for a week ...feeding 3 Xs a day... then gradually make it less and less smashed...then less and less wet.... I would probably leave out a bowl of dry kitten food all the time too... It isn't just the $$$ all canned food diet is bad for thier teeth too!

My vet told us to feed the kitten canned food until several months old. Your kitten may be too young.
If your kitten is more than 3 months old, then try a different brand, like Purina Little Friskies, if you're feeding her some other variety.
Keep putting the dry in a separate bowl, next to her canned food, and leaving it there all day.

Sounds like she has you right where she wants you!! She is spoiled already and thinks she is running the show. Put out some dry cat food and when she is hungry enough she will eat. Canned food will only cause her to have dental problems in the future.

well, I'm no vet. but I know my kitten did the same thing for a while......I think the soft food is just easier for them to chew for a while. Plus, I think it is just what they are use to eating......for instance, Take a baby...........A baby that is use to having milk all the time just wants milk but when you go to try to get him/her to drink/eat other stuff it takes a while for them to get use to it and wanna drink/eat it..........If I where you I would just keep introducing it too your kitten til it gets use to it and if that don't work call a veterinarian to see if they can you you some tips:)
