What do I do first? I've seen Tiger hit the ball into the hole several time. Is this supposed to be the target, to hit it in from very far away? PS. I'm watching the British Open yesterday.

As a teaching professional, I can honestly say that the course is playing very easy. The object of the game is to get the ball in the hole in the least number of strokes possible. If it goes in from a long distance, it is as much luck as skill.

Now, as for learning the game, find a teaching professional in your area and get the proper instruction. This is a game that takes time to learn properly. Don't just grab somebody else's clubs and try to play. You will be too frustrated. Also, if you are serious about the game, get a good set of custom built clubs. Get them to fit your body and your swing. The game will be more enjoyable.

Good luck.

Start with the short game. Learn to putt first. Develop your swing after you learn how to putt and chip. Take a few lessons. Practice driving last. Basically, you will be more disciplined if you learn the game "backwards." Working your way from the hole outward, farther and farther as you learn.

Wow you need some clubs first then a lesson. I would be happy to give you a lesson especially in that killer bikini.
To get it in the hole is always the goal, the farther away you are the better.
Good luck...

I belive that is the key to the game.. You try to get the ball in the cup using less storkes than what the par is..Get you some clubs and practice at your local golf coarse.. it's a stressful game,, but you will love it
