I have done all of these in the past. I'm just curious of what you would do in a situation that involves a guy you barely know.
A) By being straighforward about it and just tell him to his face
B) By flirting with him and subtly display signs of your attraction towards him
C) Secretly leave him a note
D) Have a friend tell him for you
E) None of the above (include your own, please?)
If you can, please include some of the advantages and/or disadvantages to each or some of these actions?

I wasn't attracted to him at first, but when he seemed like a very kind, smart and funny guy, I began to like him. It wasn't his looks that caught my attention. In fact, I thought he was just average looking.

Oh well....a tricky ques huh....first of all...how much do u know that guy??????? is a just an aquaintance...or a friend...or a really gud friend...
In the first case...as in if u don't know him much...try to hang out with him and be friendly with him....then give him hints that u r actually attracted towards him....i aint sayin flirt or sumthin...guys dont usually get a good impression of a flirt...im just sayin...talk to him frankly...look at him into the eye...smile at him as much as u can alright ??? im sure this will work out.....
And if he's a friend...i think ur option A) wud be actually fruitful...and so cud C!! i mean C does actually make things romantic...but it cud hav a disadvantage...u cannot actually knw his feelings if u just write him a note...so straight on the face talkin does always help in gettin to knw whtever he feels...
Hmm...the D) option might work for some...but again it wud be far less romantic and u will never get to c his first reaction....
So cmon girl...buck up!! and speak up ur mind!!! im sure things wud go great !!! al the best !!

a. yeah, you run the risk of getting turned down, but at least you'll know how he feels. guys don't get subtlety. at least if he says no you can move on and date other guys now, as opposed to agonizing over it for weeks and then finding out. in that amount of time he may like you and then lose those feelings because you were both too scared of making the first move.

im a straight guy and in a relationship with a gal whom i love very much. i have never confessed to a guy and i wont do it anyhow.
however, i liked it when she confessed to me that she has some feelings to me. though it was when we were chatting, i still feel very good because i know for certain about her feelings. i know some gals like to flirt and make guys fall head over heels but she does not like most of them. that is not a good thing imo.
A) as above.
B) can do so but ultimately, confession is something that you really have to say it out.
C) can do, but i suppose a guy would want to hear it directly too.
D) not actually a good way cos a guy might not believe it until you say it out straight in his face.

Talk to him and get to know him better. If he still catches your fancy then straight out ask him out or tell him you would like to engage in a relationship. The other ways could work but in the end face to face is the way to go. But a singing telegram would be cute though.

there is only one way to your happiness, and that way is been straight with your-self. you like a guy there is no harm telling him. you wont be killed, just for some little talk, you have gat to know him fully know what he thinks about you, if it is ok with you then let him know your feelings. if he is in a relationship i would say you should know for sure how he feels for his girl if you dont want to see your-self at the dark corner of you wall. but if he sees you as a friend still let him know your feelings but if he has a girl in his mind let him know but dont think of going out with him. it might end up being tragic, it might end by the both of you discovering each other. who knows

Well, mostly B) I would think. Then you will see if he is interested.
If possible just get to know him better, then you will find out if you are compatible or not! A crush is just that, a very shallow attraction on the surface not more, unless you really get to know the person better and really find out if it is just a feeling ore more.

A. I think it is a better way because it is very sincere to tell him personally. And if you choose others, you are just wasting time of yours. Tell him personally to his face, even you are rejected. It's alright because he is the one who lost a good girlfriend. =)
