Giorno means "day" in Italian. The Buen is Buon. So, we have buon giorno! Want to know some more? Buenos dias - Spanish; Bom dia - Portuguese; Bonjour - French; Kalimera - Greek; Gutten Morgen - German.

Hi dear,

Giorno means Day and Buongiorno means Goodmorning.
It is Italian, Buon means Good . Buona notte means Good evening .

Depending what you add to it ..you will change the meaning to Good day or Bad day or hell of a day...
