I stopped breastfeeding 2 1/2 yrs ago, and I can still express milk. But I heard it is normal, and some women don't dry up as long as 10-15 years. Can you believe that? I sure can't, oh well, but it'll be fine. Other women have this problem too, so now you know your not alone.

Totally normal. My docs said that a woman can continue lactating throughout her childbearing years, even if she is not actively nursing. I had my daughter 2 years ago and occasionally will have a little "leak." The joys of womanhood! If you have any concern or the milk does not seem right, you will definitely want to talk with your doctor or obgyn to rule out infection or other problems.

have u seen ur physician after u have stopped breast-feeding ur baby?.. if not..u better see him now..bcoz production of milk usually stops the moment u stopped breast-feeding ur child.. becoz as there is no demand..there will be no supply..bcoz ur baby had stopped sucking ur breast..ansd bcoz when an infants sucks at a breast, nerve impulses travel from the nipple to the hypothalamus to stimulate the production of prolactin-releasing factor, a hormone that is responsible for production of milk..hope u learned a lot..try to see ur Dr. as soon as possible..

This is might because of high prolactine levels. a kind of harmone responsible of breast milk. you have to consult with your doc. for the problem. though its not severe yet harmonal.

Maybe for a good reason... keep it flowing...maybe god has a plan that we don't need to know ... we just need to do ...YA KNOW??? Anyway... why try to stop a good thing? I say keep it as long as it comes, and don't rush" drying up" !

It takea a while for some women.
STOP CHECKING.....if you are checking it often then you are stimulating yourself to keep making milk.
