Realize that you don't have to make a decision before you get packed off. The first year is mostly core classes anyway, so if you are undecided, take that first year to explore different options and realize that you can pick a major later. Good luck. Stick to what you know, but don't be afraid to learn new things.

I could tell you plenty of good careers, but you have to know what you like, what you can do and what you want to spend the rest of your life doing. I mean there is no use saying be a doctor or a nurse if you hate chemistry or physics or be a designer if you can't draw or historian if you hate reading. you need to write down a list of all the things you like and all the occupations you admire or are interested in and just everything you can think of about yourself and then read back over it and analyse what would best suit you and if it is something you can do or would keep you interested. You have to consider such things as if you like to work autonomously and if you could make any money out of it and how much competition there is in that area and all that as well.

That is such a hard question. If you decide to go to college as soon as you graduate, try a community college. Build your credit hours with the basic classes first. Remember, your interests in most things will change over the next ten years. You just have to think things out because what you want as a profession today, in all probability, will change several times before you graduate college. Talk to professionals at colleges to help you with the right major.

You have nor provided any detail about your scholastic achievements so it's not easy to recommend any course to pursue. However student counsellors in colleges, universities are able to offer guidance based on your scholastic results and interests. As a guide, you may consider study disciplines which you think you will do well. I'm sure you know what are your strengths and weakness - science or arts. All the best!

Take what you have to, but then also take something you like. As a freshman I took electives and P.E. courses in things that were not available to me growing up: sailing and riding lessons, ropes courses, ceramics, etc. I met people with different backgrounds than I and it gave me a broader world view. That broader view has steered me properly in the past 25 years to make intelligent career, marriage, family and other life choices. Good luck! It's an exciting time!

A great way to be really miserable for life is to allow someone else to choose your course of study and career. Most colleges/universities have a department where you can take tests to show your interest and aptitude for different careers.
