Go and see a counselor. Even if he does not go with you, this is a HUGE issue and you need some on-hand support and an experienced and objective listener. I don't know what the counselor will say but I know that I would not be in too big a hurry to uproot myself for a mate I am not sure of. You can always call the Zoo, pretending to be from the personnel department of another zoo and ask the usual questions: Would they hire your husband back, etc. Don't listen to any nonsense about how this isn't honest etc. You HONESTLY need to know what happened and "desperate times call for desperate measures." The other thing you can do is go to the police dept and see if there is a report on file. All you have to do is ask are there any police reports from incidents that took place at the San Diego Zoo in the last month... Good luck and please, please, please go to the counselor and please, please, please know that if necessary, you CAN live without him (and happily too).
