God created man in his likeness, then he created all the beasts and creatures (animals) and Adam named them, and God saw there was still no companion for man so THEN did he put Adam to sleep and created woman. So we women were a mere after thought. Yeah, read it Genesis 2:19-21.

He didn't. In the first version of Genesis, they are both created as equals at the same time. In the second version, the one from your question, he first creates "the human" and only after the removal of the rib, there is a diference between man and woman.
Also, you have to know the Bible was written by men, and none of them were there when it happened

That's just one of the two stories in Genesis. In the 2nd version they are both created together. More interesting is why the plants were created before the sun.
