Why cant the u.s.a catch Osama bin laden?????

the u.s.a is the most developed country in the world,its got all the technologies and gadjets and all the FBI crap and the CIA crap but still cant catch 1 man.....why??

(I'm going to try and answer your question as you asked it and not go into a lot of political crapola like some above...)
I've often asked myself the same question. Here's how I can to terms with it quite by accident. A few years ago, while pondering this same question, I was flying into Syracuse, NY returning from a business trip. They had some problem at the airport and we had to circle the area for about a half an hour at an altitude of about 2000ft., just below the cloud ceiling. While looking out the window..I was kind of amazed by the massive expanse of land underneath me. (I've flown a million times but never really had this type of a chance to really look out and stare and take it all in at length) Well...looking I suddenly thought, for whatever reason, .."damn..if I was a bad guy on the run from the cops..with all the houses, sheds, barns, caves, hills and dales, it would be a miracle if they found me"
A short time later someone said to me..about some other FBI top ten dude, "Why the hell can't they catch this ******?" and I responded.."well..from what I saw out of my plane window the other day I have whole new appreciation of how awesome a task it is to find someone"
The simple answer..for which I rarely give is..the world is one big assed place and there are an infinite number of places to hide.
If you do a little reasearch you'll find that about 98% of bad guys caught are turned in by relatives, dimed out by a friend or do something incredibly stupid to draw attention to themsleves. It is VERY rare for a bad guy to get caught just by putting together a puzzle until the big picture is there and BANG..you got 'em. VERY rare.

Because he's just that 1 man in about 6.5billion. He doesn't have a tracking device implanted in his neck. He's hiding in a cave. It's not that hard to disappear when you have an entire following of people that think your "the bomb"(pun intended) and are helping you stay out of sight.
