No, I do not have mixed children or any for that matter. However, I do have three African-American godchildren. My advice to you is that if anyone is rude enough to make a racial comment to you when you are with your child, you should reply by saying: "Fvck you, Sir/Ms." Anyone who is that obnoxious deserves nothing less.
Having said all that, you must know that when you pave your own way like you have--going outside of your race--there are going to be problems--don't ever delude yourself into thinking that the world has changed its view of interracial relationships. It never will. The majority of people don't like it and they don't want their children exposed to seeing it. That's reality.

The most important thing you can do for your baby is love. Wow I didn't know the white people is racist to other white people. If anyone has anything to say to you then tell them to mind their business. Love is colorless and I am sure your children will be beautiful. I don't have any mixed babies, but my husband is another race and one day we might. If it gets too bad for you, and you can afford it trying moving north, they are more tolerant than the south. Racism is ignorance and that is the only advice I could give you, just remember those people who have something negative to say about a baby because of its color are ignorant and have poor self esteem. Good luck.

I don't have mixed children since i'm 17 but I certainly want some. I'm very very mixed and consider it a blessing. I have the skin of my black mother with the tint of my chinese grandmother (unfortunately I also got her flat butt!), the shape of a native american and the hair of an indian.
I've never gotten comments that weren't positive about looking different. Most people find it interesting, pleasant, and beautiful. Anyone who doesn't really isn't worth your concern, as in life there is always someone who has to try and rain on your biracial parade. I hope you and your child come to be as happy as I am about being a super-human hybrid lol :D

All babies are mixed ---- 100%. To think in racial boundaries is self-defeating. Good luck to the both of you and the very lucky baby you two are going to hatch.

I have a mixed son(salvadora/italian), and one on the way(mexican/italian). There is nothing special needed for raising them, they are just like everyother baby. And unfortunately there are people who might give you a hard time for mixing races but that should never matter. You love your child and thats all that counts.

Just love them as much as possible. Be sure they understand what it means to be black and white when they start asking questions. which will probably be when they start school. oh and if you cant do their hair, take her to a salon. lol, i have a lot of mixed friends who complained that their white mothers had them in curly afros all the time. but just feel it out, just trust your mothers instinct and you will be alright.
