Try to go to the family thing. You can have fun anytime. Family will always be there for you and so you should be there for them.

Go for family thing trust me if you have problems in life your family will be the first ones there not the fun thing!!! try to see things in the long run not just look at ur toes and make the decisions look at the road ahead of you!!
Attend the family stuff and just do the fun stuff some other day.. fun stuff will always be there... if not this yr than there is always next yr!!

well if u get along w/ur family, im sure they'll understand if u want to go have fun somewhere. Personally, I would go do the fun thing. There's no harm in not hanging out w/your family one time. Live a little. Your family will always be there.

Family thing comes before personal desires. I missed the concert of my favourite band in order to accompany a family member.
