First, let's start with the basics: You have to start from the inside out. Healthy hair is a sign of a healthy life - make sure you're getting proper nutrition (particularly protein and B-vitamins) and proper hydration (enough water). And that's an ongoing committment that may take months to show up.

Now for the outside: strangely enough, it's possible to overclean and overcondition your hair. Shampooing daily may be too much for your hair-********* it of its natural oils. It's worse if you don't rinse completely as the residues of shampoo, built up styling products, and dirt and oil can dull your hair. This makes people think they have to add more conditioner, which starts a cycle in which you are never satisfied.

If your hair is fragile, you might even consider shampooing once every three days or so. If your hair gets dirty in between, you might even wash it with only water.

And don't forget to stop styling abuse: thermal styling and the chemistry associated with color or perming can really hurt - consider finding a more "hair friendly" look for a time. A stylist you trust can make all the difference here. If you don't have one find one.

Lastly, don't forget about brushing. The old wive's tale about 100 strokes isn't so far off - brushing distributes the natural oil produced in your scalp along the shaft of the hair, improving its shine and condition. You may not need 100 brush strokes, but spending a little time is key to keeping it healthy. The best conditioner tends to be your body's own natural oils.

If your stylist or hair professional and you don't see results after a few months of working together, you might want to see a doctor to find out whether or not you might have problems with nutrition or another medical condition which can cause hair problems. (Undiagnosed hypothyroidism (low thyroid function) is one of the conditions that can cause poor hair growth and condition - it may sound scary but it's easily and inexpensively treated))

Lastly, be realistic: long, silky hair may not be part of the possibilities your genes allow - to some degree, the potential for our hair is genetically determined - texture and to some degree, how long it can get is influenced by heredity. If you need to work with nature to preserve the health of your hair, you will need patience and have to do a lot of work to make your hair the best it can be.

Well, it is also affected by your diet. Make sure you have enough protein in your diet. Soy-based products like tofu are great sources of protein, and in addition, they contain lecithin, which helps reduce the hair fall problem.

You can also start with using a mild shampoo, I like to look for those herbal ones from specialty stores because they're milder and made from natural products.

Always use conditioner. Even if your shampoo is a two-in-one, always use conditioner.

Once a week you might want to treat your hair to a special treat, like using a hair masque (honey and mashed avocado is a good one) and leave it in for an hour or so before rinsing it off. Another good and easy masque is just to coat your hair with raw egg. Be sure to rinse that off with cool water, if not the egg might cook!

Finally, refrain from using too many styling products. They contain a lot of alchohol and might dry your hair out.

Anyway, learn to know your hair. What's the usual, and what it's like when it's behaving well. Sometimes it'll need a clarifying shampoo to remove whatever gunk the last shampoo or conditioner left behind. Sometimes it just needs some moisturising. You just have to treat it accordingly.

I think you'd better ask for a doctor because your hair is falling that is not a good omen
