Basically, it is gaining an advantage or benefit for oneself, and at the expense of the person
providing the advantage.
Reason for one is own inadequacy. Without the help provided by the person used for a purpose, it will not possible what one wish to achieve.
The goal may be quick monetary gain, boosting one image, strengthening of onw position or power base. For example, businessmen do use consultants to gain the trust and credibility of potential partners or principals with the promises of reward for work to be carried out instead of contractual agreement. Or a simpler example will be making use of one's beautiful wife to predispose would-be partners or principals for a project, when professional appraoch is absent or lacking.

Blaming a person for using others is like saying the lions of Africa are using the gazelles when he drags one down and eats it.
There are predators and then then there are prey. In life you are one or the other.
You know the old saying. "Second place is first loser".

people use others in what way ? man is a social animal. we live in a society. here each & everyone is depending on each other. so, be specific while asking question. ( for example, i have a helper. i make her do all the work at home. in your words i am using her. at the same time i am paying her salary for her job. that means she is using me to get money ? is it ?)

We are human and no matter what part of civilazation you look at people have always and will always hurt other people. They will lie to them, cheat them, murder, rob and use them because that is what we do.
