Breaking the law by coming into the country without proper clearance means you are a LAWBREAKER.

Good point, but you forget that the term was made up by the media so as not to hurt their feelings. It sounds so much "nicer".The liberals love the term because they can address the issue (sometimes) and at the same time sound caring and solicitous.

To tell you the truth, I worked on my paper without any legal help from an imigration lawyer because it's simple and for the most part, self-explanatory. And I believe that the fees are pretty reasonable too. Guess what? The process was quick. I filed my lawful residency petition and got my green card in two months time.

A 2004 report by Center for Immigration Studies estimates that school, hospitals, and other social services used by these illegal aliens cost the federal government $11 billion annually...Imagine that?!

These freindly politically correct terms sound so sweet but they are misrepresentations. It is a spin to make them look better and it implies they work when in fact most do not, they recieve welfare. Even if they work, that is like stealing another mans livelyhood his work-opportunity to feed his family. Notice how clever their media is to use these spins to change publics perception and cloud the minds of the viewers or readers. Always portray themselves as victims ect. it is like the media is attempting to condition everyone by ridiculous suggestion made often enough so they begin to seem true. What would be a joke would be to see the criminal records of the people against illegal immigrants. I'm willing to bet there's more than a few that have broken some law at one point or another. Also willing to bet that even more have broken a law and haven't gotten caught.

Not sure it is a joke.

The problem is not the immigrants, it is the employers, and local governments are starting to work on that angle, because frankly, the Feds are a mess on that issue.

Employers are supposed to I-9 their employees, they clearly are either not doing it, or the Feds are not following through on checking it.

I honestly do not blame the immigrants, they are just trying to make a living. I blame the government for not enforcing its own laws.

Cut off the employment, you cut off the illegal immigration.

I don't think they will ever learn....If they put as much effort into trying to make Mexico a "livable" place as they do justifying their crimes they would be on their way to enjoying the prosperity that America enjoys. Right now it is safe to say that the Mexican version of the American dream is riding the coat tails of American families.
