I know how you feel, I love my rice too. It's not that I don't like fruit, it's just that I'm too picky. If it has any soft spots or anything I won't touch. That's why I started eating organic fruit yogurt. Dried fruit works for me too. It's really not that important that you eat fruit, persay. You can get 100% unsweetened fruit juice and that'll do the trick too. Besides, I think that it's so many servings of fruits and vegetables. Technically, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, and squash are fruits, since they have seeds.

I am the same way. Its not that I don't like fruits but the starchy foods fill me up much faster, and I am always too busy or don't have enough time to eat tons of fruit to get my fill. Bad habit, I know.
