If so, why? Does it feel better to be drunk than depressed?

For those who said yes, does it help you cope with the depression, or just make it worse?

Yes, which is funny because alcohol is a depressant and ends up making things worse.

Sometimes. I'm usually so repressed (I bottle a lot of stuff up b/c my mom taught me that repression is a coping skill), I kinda need the help to get out a good cry. Then I feel better the next day b/c I cried it out. I don't do that too much, though b/c it can become a habit really easily.

Sweet Manhatten on the rocks

2oz Jim Beam Bourbon
1oz Martini & Rossi Sweet Vermouth
3 shakes Angostura Bitters
2 Marshino cherries
1 tsp Marshino cherry juice.

All on top a full glass of ice. Stirred. Sip slowly and enjoy as the things that please you come into focus and the things that annoy you melt away.

Alone? One will do. With friends, limit intake to no more than 3 and don't drive.

Enjoy life, it's the only one we've got!

I don't but I know many who do. They self-medicate with booze...my mother does. Although she'd NEVER admit it in a million years.
