They may not disappear altogether, but they do improve with time - I had chickenpox at 9 and still have some small scars, though not hugely noticeable. Using Bio Oil is probably the best plan. Kids' skin is more "elastic" and so thei scars are more likely to go quickly.

I'm sure people wont even notice your scars, face-to-face or not.

We had the store down the street on the corner of the next block. At least every other day there seemed a reason to make the trip. My grandmother knew the price of about everything they had that we would need so there was seldom more than a nickle left. I would choose what ever I could get the most of for that nickle. It always made it taste better when you got to pick it out. There was a store across the street from our school. They carried paper, note books, pencils, all the normal school things, and every kind of candy you could think of. They were all in slanted jars with metal lids and the first two rows were a penny each, the next row was two cents each the third row two or three for a nickle, and they went up from there I don't think I ever bought any thing above those first three rows. I used to save my nickle because the store by the school had more to choose from. You could also get an ice cold Coke from the soda fountain for a nickle. It wasn't very big but made you feel real important to sit up there where the kids from the high school sat and to listen to all their talk about the kids they went to school with. This has been fun answering the questions today, I have got to go down memory lane several times. Thanks for asking.

You poor thing. You must have felt so ill. I had chickenpox at 30 and in bed for six weeks. I have scars on my face but, they're not very noticable now. I agree you should carry on with the bio-oil, but I think you'll find you're more aware of you scars than anyone else will be.

Well I had the same when I was 25 - much, much worse than the kids. There was nowhere on my body without them. That was 20years ago and I am left with max 6 tiny scars that are so hard to see and that have faded over time. Use oil with vit e that should help them heal quickly.

If it still like 2 weeks ago, it is okay to undergo a laser treatment (Pulsed dye treatment). I had my scar before (from a surgery) undergo PD LAser and now it is almost gone. You have to do something (you can ask a dermatolgist what's best for you) while it is still on its healing process and not when it is already a scar (it will be harder to deal with or will be there for the rest of your life). Hope this helps.

I had chicken pox when I was six years old and had two prominent scars (pock mark "dimples") on my forehead into my 30's. You may just be stuck with those scars at this point!

No the scares will not go away totally but they will start to lighten with time. If you want to start the process and make it a little faster use some lotion on them but make sure there is either aloe or butter oil in the lotion.

They do tend to scar, but bio oil is good, I used it on stretch marks after i had my baby and it worked quite well. Hopefully they will fade over time for you.

It will take more time for yours to fade as your older, you may have some that never go but using bio oil will help greatly.
Good luck.
