It amazes me that people feel it's ok to be rude due to the fact that they're talking via computer. This is such an awesome place to go to find information, but there's always one sarcastic little imbecile that ruins it. Why, yes I speak to you pink.safire. First off all, I do work out, second of all don't call me sparky, and last learn some manners.

as long as you demonstrate a willingness to try, the RDCs will work with you as much as necessary to help you pass the PRT with at least the minimum standards. What may end up happeneing, if you report to MEPS or Inprocessing and cannot complete a pull up, they may give you a few days/weeks in holding to work on it before shipping you off to Great Mistakes.

Trust me, you aren't the only Recruit who showed up unable to do even a single pull up. The good news is, it's not part of the regular Fleet wide biannual PRT.. just the run(or swim, when offered) Push ups, toe touch and curls.

Maybe. I would forgo the pot until you are safely in the the Navy. Smart Chose! But, don't be a medic or anything in the Medical field at this time! Or you might end up going house to house with the Marines. Also, get a commitment from the Navy in writing that you will not end up in Iraq as say a truck driver or Humvee victim.

NO. every branch has a certain requirement but 0 is not acceptable. go talk to a Navy recruiter or go to www.navy.com and talk to a recruiter online (chat 1-on-1 link on bottom). find out requirements they can let you know that kind of information. besides you have to go through all the training first. you will be able to do the required amount before the final PT test is done. If you decide to enlist you can always WORK OUT to get you in shape in advance...think of that one sparky?
