According to Jewish sources, the Messiah will be born of human parents and possess normal physical attributes like other people. He will not be a demi-god, (1) nor will he possess supernatural qualities.

What is the Messiah supposed to accomplish? The Bible says that he will:

A. Build the Third Temple (Ezekiel 37:26-28).

B. Gather all Jews back to the Land of Israel (Isaiah 43:5-6).

C. Usher in an era of world peace, and end all hatred, oppression, suffering and disease. As it says: "Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall man learn war anymore." (Isaiah 2:4)

D. Spread universal knowledge of the God of Israel, which will unite humanity as one. As it says: "God will be King over all the world -- on that day, God will be One and His Name will be One" (Zechariah 14:9).

With G-d's will anything is possible. The Messiah is just the messenger. G-d will deliver the rest.

Jesus:
Was born of a human parent; had normal physical attributes (Jesus says again and again that it is not him as the human doing this, but God in Heaven)
A.Jesus has rebuilt Jerusalem, or rather he has laid down the foundations to be completed at his second coming. This construction ground of the Kingdom is real and accessible to all by faith.
B.He has gathered all the faithful heirs of Abraham into this one universal Church.
C. While this has already begun in those who truly follow Him, it shall be finalized at the Second Coming.
D. Your prophet says it himself: The Messiah, the Annointed King of Israel, is none other than God Himself. Therefore the Messiah can only be God, and therefore God must come as a human for the sake of humanity.

I dont think The Bible was referrering to The Massiah in B. I was readin it and I dont see anything concerning about the Messiah there. Also the World peace will be established on Jesus's second coming.

Also God says in Ezekiel 37:26 "Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them; and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them forevermore." It does not say the Messiah will do that.

The Messiah is suppose to do this?
Came down the divine lineage of David
Born of a virgin
saved that which was lost
healed the sick, raised the dead
he died that we might lived
He ROSE
HES COMING BACK

THE MESSIAH HAS ALREADY CAME. HE WAS BORN AND HE DIED AND NOW HE IS SOON TO COME. Please be aware of the times. When you see the third temple of israel being built when that ANTICHRIST SITS IN THE TEMPLE OF GOD AND CLAIMS TO BE GOD, THE ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION.

THE ANTICHRIST WILL USHER IN THE ERA OF WORLD PEACE, WORLD CURRENCY, AND WORLD DIPLOMACY. EVERYTHING WILL BE UNDER ONE WORLD ORDER. YOU ARE USING ISA. 2:4 OUT OF CONTEXT. THE ANTICHRIST WILL HAVE POWER TO REIGN FIRE DOWN FROM HEAVEN. ACCORDING TO YOU ALL THE BIBLE SAYS LET THE GOD THAT IS GOD ANSWER BY FIRE. THE ANTICHRIST WILL SPREAD UNIVERSAL KNOWLEDGE OF RELIGION AND HE WILL DO THIS FOR 3 1/2 YEARS AND THAN WAR WILL BREAK.

NOW ON THAT DAY WHEN GOD HEALS ISRAEL IN A DAY. THEY WILL BEHOLD THE ONE WHO THEY SLAIN. FOR THE BIBLE SAYS HE CAME INTO HIS OWN AND HIS OWN RECEIVED HIM NOT BUT ANOTHER THEY WILL RECEIVE AND THIS IS THE ANTICHRIST, THAT SON OF PERDITION. FOR HE COMETH AND HE IS ALREADY IN THE WORLD.

so it seems to me that the person that you are looking for meets the desciption of the Antichrist. I don't think that you should be looking for him. God sent his son and he died for us and he is soon to come the rapture is the only thing to be fulfilled. The only prophecy to be fullfilled and than then the tribulation period will begin. I know that you are jewish but I pray that you find the truth and the truth shall make you free.

i am not a Jew, but i do know that the Messiah has already come. Jesus of Nazareth was and is the Messiah. most of the verse you listed are prophetic. Jesus was God in human form,He came to earth the first time to die for the sins of mankind. someday He will return to establish His earthly kingdom.

I am not going to preach new testament to you, since you are obviously Jewish and most likely dont study it. But, in the O.T. there are several places that it talks about Jesus' second coming (Son of God second coming) and also talks about the anti-christ and the end times, one world gov(equal to the United Nations and what they are working on), soooo many other things. If you want me to look up the scriptures and email them to you I can in the next day or so. send me your email if you want to chicago_gurl_here@yahoo.com

If you believe in the scriptures, the answer is "yes."

And if you are asking the question because you believe that Jesus was/is the Messiah, I would ask "did Jesus do all of this?"

The claim is that Jesus was the Messiah because he fulfilled the Old Testament prophecies, right?

No. I don't consider Jesus as being ' ordinary.' And I think that what he will do defies that description as well.

What the Jews have done according to your description, is set themselves up for the Anti-christ to take that position. He will tell them to build the temple.

Geesh, what is with all the answers that preach that the Messiah has already been here. She was asking Jewish people what they thought, not Christians what they thought, she already knows what they think.
