I work food service, and it's amazing how many people hate onions. I used to think I was unique, but it seems like most of the time, people ask to hold the onions.
I think they're disgusting, but ironically, I love Funyuns, Burger King's onion rings, green onions and don't mind cooked-in onions.

Does the term 'onion-breathe' makes any sense to you? But I like onions. Besides the odour that comes out of my mouth, I just don't like farting onion gases.

Yes, I like onions.
The people who dislikes it is due to its strong odour . Try put the choped onion in plain water up to dip level for 5 minutes, remove them from water and sprinkle a little bit viengare or lemon juice on it , Eat it find the difference and taste, try on the people who hate it.

I loooove onions. However, if I'm on a date, I will hold off on them. That could be one reason why you see it so often.
