The reason most drugs are illegal has less to do with the harm caused to our bodies and more to do with the harm caused to the collective pocket-book of society.
Crack, heroin, meth, etc. are all harmful but so is smoking cigarettes or driving a car too fast. Yet every car that comes off the assembly line has a speed limit of no less than 90 miles an hour built right in. Where is it legal to drive that fast in the United States? And even if you can legally go that fast in Wyoming or parts of Montana, you certainly can't go that fast in the majority of the country.
My point is, as with most things, making drugs and or alcohol illegal is a monetary decision.
You can whip up a lot of those illegal concoctions in your kitchen, and although some of them are dangerous and all are toxic, if you're doing it in your kitchen, unregulated, and untaxed, you're making all the money and the government (which is We the People) aren't getting a cut.
The problem there is, everybody else doing legal and legitimate business is paying a tax. Drug dealers don't pay taxes. Yet they benefit from the system even more than the legit taxpaying business person. A perfect example is the legal heroin dealers. Only it's called morphine, or methodone and the dealers are called Doctors or Pharmacists. Sure one can use the medicinal argument, but the bottom line is. morphine and methodone are heroin variations, but the American Medical Association, et al, pays taxes, or at least files a legal tax return.
That's why cigarette and alcohol manufacturesrs and auto makers and any other legitimate taxpaying endeavor will usually not be outlawed. If any legitimate business person gets too outlandish, We the People slap a regulation on him and curb his lusts. You probably don't remember $0.26 a pack Marlboros.
The best thing for you to do is realize the dangers of using these products. Take measures to stay away from those products which are abhorrently bad for you and limit the use of those which have the potential to do you grievous physical harm.
Making alcohol illegal would just create another problem for the police.

Only a complete moron would suggest remedying a problem by creating another one. I have talked to a million potheads and they all have the same argument. Prohibition didn't cure drinking it just created more crime. It is well documented that in countries where drug use is not a punishable crime, all types of crime rates including violent crimes are astonishingly lower than the US.
Somebody tell me why everytime some holier than thou retard get a hair up is a** about something, it cant just be their opinion, they have to force it on everybody else.
Here's a concept... If you don't like alchohol try not drinking it.
If you think weed is bad, throw out the bong (or donate it) If you think prostitutes are evil, dont buy p***y. But for christs sake please dont villify others just because they dont share your views

analyze prohibition even as they did make alcohol unlawful. It did not artwork and under no circumstances will. it is too easy to make and alcohol has been a huge component to society seeing that earlier biblical cases. no longer each and every person abuses alcohol, yet you're actual that some human beings do which may reason numerous issues. There are sturdy issues with alcohol and under no circumstances all is undesirable. We rejoice with alcohol which incorporates champagne. positive wine with a sturdy meal is outstanding. a cold beer with acquaintances on a warm day at a fish fry is outstanding. what number of human beings have a good time with a lager even as gazing a ball sport? maximum of those human beings aren't from now on inebriated alcoholics that abuse it. Alcoholics who fairly like it might want to take care of to actual get it no matter if it changed into outlawed so making it against the law makes no experience and may want to easily tie up our court docket platforms with numerous nonsense. As I suggested, analyze prohibition and also you may want to start up to appreciate. Regulating it makes a lot more effective experience because it does herald money to the country and is safer than having quite some human beings attempting to make it that would want to poison and kill human beings if no longer performed proper.

well if you look back in American history we tried that once before and the crime level went through the roof people will make it or smuggle it and i think that alchol isn't illegal because of things like wine and champagne wine is actually good for you and champagne at weddings is just tradition there are a lot of religions that drink wine so you cant make it illegal because of the constitution because people do have the right to religion and to say that parts of a religion is illegal is something that you just cant do as well as the fact that other drugs are illegal but it's not just because it's harmful to the body they are illegal because of what they make people do and our country cant make alcohol illegal but they do put a lot of restrictions on it to try and make it safer like the amount that you cant have at a bar the bar owner has the right to say you have had to much to drink you need to go home and the fact that you cant drive with more then a spacific amount of alcohol in your system i don't think they should make it illegal even if they could .drugs arent illegal because they are harmfull to the body if they were then all sorts of things like heck french fries would be even the air we breath is harmful to our body there are a lot of things that people do that is legal that is harmfull to the body

They tried to make alcohol illegal. it didn't work because it was too established in the culture. remember the 18th and 21st amendments to the constitution?
they will never make marijuana legal because that would be working backwards. they may make penalties less stiff, approve it for medical purposes or spend less money on the losing 'war on drugs,' but American society is too gluttonous to actually make that legal.

why not make everything illegal, take everything away from everyone. this used to be a free country. life liberty and the persuit of happiness. if someone wants to do all that, and is not a threat to society, who are you to say its wrong?
