No matter how sick you get, no matter how bad you stink, your friends care enough to give you support. Count your blessings!
By the way, when you are so sick you can hardly think, get someone to run you warm (not hot) bath. You may add bubbles to suit your tastes. You might require help getting out of the tub, but after about ten minutes, your body will be ready to melt into the bed. Get tucked in tight, turn down the lights, go to sleep, and heal.
I usually take the medications that I know make me sleepy before I hit the tub. Do NOT take them if nobody can help if you get too woozy to get out of the tub. Have the medications ready to take AFTER you get out of the tub.
Oh, and if you need a dog or two to cuddle, I can let you borrow some. Cuddling with a warm dog while sick, greatly improves the healing time for most illnesses. (I need to figure out how to bottle it.) I spent two weeks in bed with pneumonia. The dogs kept watch over me the entire time. Two of them lay on the bathroom rug while I soaked in the tub. Ordinarily, all of the dogs spend 75% of their time outside chasing squirrels. Gotta love their loyalty. :)

While it's possible that you are one of the rare 1 in a million souls that can manage to stay un-stinky after a week, it's more likely that your friend loves you and is willing to hug you even if you stink a bit.

Maybe they just have manners. I am sure you are smelling pretty ripe by now, take a shower! If you can go to the doctor, you can take a shower. Why would you go to the Doctor without taking a shower anyway?

When people are sick it is understandanble if they smell or haven't taken a shower since that is usually against wht they should do. Friends are friends mainly becaue they care and wish you the best.

If someone really cares about you they are not going to be bothered by your not having showered. Just because your mom changed your poopy diapers doesn't mean that they didn't stink.
