I have never read this book and I refuse to even touch the book merely because several people have said that it makes you question your own faith even though it is fiction.

The only truth I need is what the Bible tells me.

Have you read the book?Did it affect you in anyway after reading it? What are your feelings of The Davince Code?

When I read it, I didn't think it had anything at all to do with faith of any kind.

It was just a mystery that was solved while the fictional characters was exposed to a fictional group of people who fictionally did some really terrible things.

I don't get a lot of truth from the bible anyway, so if an author writes a fictional story about people who believe unusual things, it doesn't really change my beliefs.

It doesn't change my relationship with god no matter if everything in the book was true or false. Same way I feel about the bible.

I read it and was enthralled by the pace of the book. If you truely beleive and have faith in god nothing can take that away from you, but don't ignore anything from word of mouth. It did not affect me at all. It doesn't say god isn't real or anything, it merely suggests that Jesus may not totally be the person he was in the bible (it has been copied/re-written many times, some things have lost their first message). I reccomend you read The Da Vinci Code, because the action pace is alone something to read the book for. But, DO NOT SEE THE FILM. It is the worst thing I have ever seen.

No, I saw the movie and it was just that, a movie.

"I have never read this book and I refuse to even touch the book merely because several people have said that it makes you question your own faith even though it is fiction."

Wow, if you're afraid losing your faith because of a book, you're faith isn't very strong anyways!

I have read it and plan on reading it again, and it never even ONCE made me question my faith. Not once. Its simply an awesome work of fiction. Nothing more, nothing less. How this book could make someone question their faith IS BEYOND ME. However, if your that NEW to the faith or that weak, please stay away from it, you do not need to become confused. However, realizing that this IS a wonderful work of fiction and only that, you can "lose" yourself in it, like Alice in Wonderland or The Wizard of Oz and never worry about losing your soul to those stories either. Just remember, God himself had the ORIGINAL sense of humor!

lol. Really now? If you have true FAITH, no book, no movie, nobody saying anything about your faith, should ever change that regardless.

I havent seen the movie or read the book, merely cz I dont have time. But I will, and It will not affect the way I feel about my god. Because I believe the way I believe and my faith is strong. You should try it sometime.

It's a BOOK... a work of FICTION. If your faith is strong, the book shouldn't shake it at all. Just read it for the fun of reading and know that the author is full of crap and wrote a book to sell and make money. And read your bible to nourish your soul. Why does one have to threaten the other?

well i am atheist but after reading the book i was like "awesome, now let's see how much of it is real", so i bought another book called "secrets of the code" which explains what is fictional and what is non-fictional in the book. Roughly it is 50% on both ends, some things are real and some are not.

Do you wish to go through your entire life being close-minded? If your faith is strong, what are you worried about? You sound like one of those people who blindly believe in something, and then put their fingers in their ears and scream "LALALALALALA" whenever anyone proposes anything different! In answer to your question, I questioned my faith long before the book or the movie, and it turned out that I had no faith to begin with. Hey, I'd rather have NO faith than the blind kind!!

Movie only throws mud on Catholic Churh and it's cardinals, not Christianity or faith.

In fact, movie ends with good guys making a decision to uphold the faith, even though it might cost them their lives.

And generally, this movie is about as convincing as Mission Impossible or a James Bond flick. If such things can shake your faith, you had no faith to begin with.
