Because of the pinheads that are too worried about "preserving the sanctity of marriage" by whining about gays wanting the right to wed instead of focusing on the heterosexuals that disgrace everything marriage stands for with their behavior.

People don't know each other. Some have no sense in their roles - there are roles that men and women play in the marriage. Some people have no clear sense of themselves individually. They let family members tear their marriages apart. Some people marry for different reasons. Some of those reasons are not a reason to be married...the woman get's pregnant scenario, or the fact that they are sexually compatible...should not be the main reasons to get married. Marriage is a committment between those two individuals need to work on the marriage..each person needs to come into it a "whole" person and not be selfish because it's no longer about one person's needs - but considerations for two people who act as "one being".

Its a vicious circle dear
First you chose your partner at a young age...when u r not mature enough
And people dont learn the importance of sacrificing to some extent in relationships...yes relationship has to be worked out...it doesnt work like falling in love....you make love not fall into it.
People are not virigns while marrying...so they end up getting bored of sex life soon
Parents do not care much about selecting a right life partner for thier kids...kids have to help themselves...unlike in other countres like china n india...where elders arrange marriage ....elder people will have seen life and its diffiulties...so they will always chose a better person
Love does not have to always feel good...most people dont realize that. True love needs commitment...and most people just think they fell out of love when they are only out of intial infatuation period.
Also most people are independant and hence do not respect thier spouses much
Now am talking for a majority of people...there will be some exceptions....wise people who know how to make it work

Nowadays divorce isnt looked down upon as it was in the past. Also, our generation has a problem with "I want my needs met & I want them met now." I just think once a relationship gets hard, many people are too lazy to do the work required to fix it.

actually its not almost every couple that gets divorced. go to google and look at the statistics......in my opinion, there are so many ppl who get divorced bcuz of not being honest and not knowing the person well enough before you marry them.

because people loose faith and they change their values! like me and my bf! i was with him for like ten years and we were engaged but he started with other women. the little things get to them and they dont look at the big thang of their love anymore! they just give up on each other, and they may not really love each other 'cause they end up with a new younger and more attractive woman/man!

in today's ERA people don't have the patients or the commitment to stick to a marriage even when things get rough

because two people have to both put 100% into a marriage to keep it together.... not just one of them... and usually at least one of them gives up and decides its too much work. :(
