Strictly speaking, the Big Bang hasn't been proven either. It's just a theory that happens to explain a lot, but I presume you believe in it. Actually, a lot of stuff hasn't been proven. Some stuff may never be proven. That's just part of life.
Granted, atheists can prove a lot more of what they believe, but both Christians and atheists take some things on faith.
There's also the matter of people not reviewing proofs even when they do exist. I mean, I believe the moon rotates in such a way that the same side is always facing Earth, but it's not like I've ever got out a telescope and watched every night to test it. I'm willing to take it on faith.
Granted, that's a different kind of faith, but still... no matter who you are, you believe something that hasn't been proven (at least not to you).

Don't be hard on what people believe. Everyone is different. Here is a little fact for everyone. Christianity is a man made religion. There was a Pope Gregory the Great the tried a mass conversion to get others into Christianity and do you know he ordered his bishop to smash any idols of worship. The real kicker here is he had Pagans build his churches and when they would not convert he said they were devil worshipers.

You have been lied to. God is real and so is the beliefs of Christians. A fairy tale is something you are living, because if it wasn't for God you would not be here. In your hearts of hearts you Know that the words you say is a front...because you are afraid to get up close and personal with the truth which is GOD.

First, please stop YELLING at everyone.
Second, you're being pretty harsh on a huge group of people.
Some people NEED to believe there is more to life than this. My own mother, a very intelligent woman, is one of them.
I do believe to a certain extent it is brainwashing and it happened to long ago that it has carried down family lines, each generation indoctrinating the next. Luckily, there are many that break out of that indoctrination and think for themselves. Unfortunately, these free thinkers tend to be few and far between these days.
Be patient with them... they need to believe and it doesn't hurt you if they just believe. It only hurts the rest of us when they start passing laws based on their beliefs. (You know, like making adultery a felony...

That's an interesting choice of words. Has you belief been proven? I didn't think so. By your own definition that makes you pathetic. You might want to consider the possibility that some of the other descriptive terms would be better applied to you also.

You can't "prove" that the law of gravity exists or that the speed of light is constant without some scholars giving a rebuttal. We choose to believe that if we jump off a building, we'll fall. Are we living a fairy tale?

personally i think all religions are just a giant cult and another way for people to control other people. but some people need religion for hope and faith. they dont know how to get that on their own. also people use it as ways to get over things, knowing that no matter what they do someone is still there for them and loves them. people will always need some sort of stupid belief to make them feel loved and feel like they have a place in the world. I dont necessarily believe what these people are following are true, but the thought of "god has a plan for everyone" etc, is kind of heartwarming and does make you feel like your not that big of a scumbag

you are a low person and if people like to believe in god let them they may be wrong they may be right its there choice and it has nothing to do with you so get a life! The reason today why things are chaotic and mean people is because lots of people simply do not believe if everyone did not do the sins the world would be a much better place!!!
