I was taught growing up that we are all a big box of crayons. That we are all the same but just diffrent colors and have one god. So why do people make such a big deal on what race you are? I mean come on your human, im human, shes human, hes human soooo. so what if your black, white mexican, italian and ect. we are all HUMAN.

People make such statements because the do not think before they speak. If every one in the world starts to think about this matter like we are now than every one will know that it is not the color of a person that determines his nature but its his acts.
if a person has a better behavior than me i'll say he is better than me even if he is black

I guess it goes back to a long time ago when we were all living in little tribes, this tribe hated that one and so on.

Another reason people are like this could be because something has happened to them because of another person who was this colour or that colour, or this or that religion etc.

You are right in the end we are all human and we all have to share this small planet, only problem is there are a lot of very greedy people and countries in this world and they don't seem to be happy unless they are causing other people on the other side of the world problems.

You will find that racism always gets a good response on here or at least questions about it sorry.

Good luck

I agree. I think back to when I used crayons and some kids would put their crayons in just any place they could find, others would put them back exactly where they got them, but their were a few who color coded their box of 64 crayons and go absolutely nuts if a red crayon got mixed up with all the blue crayons. I think that's how the racists are. They have all their blue crayons together and when a red crayon moves in or encroaches on their territory they go nuts and spew their hate filled words and actions across the whole box.

They may be the same biology and body but we are not the same. Each cuture we are raise in gives us different ideas, habits, rituals, traditions, laws, all the things that make up society. If you mix all that up each culture will resent the other culture for something. Because if they are to live together, they each must give up something that they used to do that angers the others culture. Sometimes towards violence.

An example is the civil wars, mass murders in africa. Those people could only see the cultural difference between themselfes, they never saw their vitims as human, like themselves.
In the end this is why we will always see each other as different. We constantly see the annoyances they created, their differences, instead of the similarities.

Race means nothing it is merely the casing for the soul on earth, faith and trust in God is everything. We are all made in God's image, therefore, we are all, each and everyone of us, a true masterpiece of beauty.

To John D: Christians do not hate, we are taught only to love one another as he has loved us. We love, or at least strive to love, all people, that does not mean we agree with acts of sin. We do not hate homosexuals, and homosexuality is not a sin, only homosexual acts are sinful. If I have a child that steals a car, it doesn't mean I love them less, but I do not agree with that action. Hate the sin, love the sinner. You can love someone, but that doesn't mean you have to condone their behaviour.

We abhor abortion because it is the murder of the most vulnerable children. The light of God being extinguished by another human. It goes against the commandments "Thou shalt not kill". All life is valuable - those unborn, and born, differently abled and thosed who are aged; each life is precious and should be treated with great love and compassion.

God bless!

Race isn't just about humanity, it's about heritage. People usually have a lot of pride in their heritage, in their roots, and the people they come from. We have heirlooms. We have history. We have a connection to the past through our families and our ancestors. These things are important, just as recognizing everyone's inner humanity is.

The problem isn't making a big deal of what race you are, it's when people start conflicts over it.

There is only one race, and it is called the human race. It is the people with color issues that place such an emphasis on skin color.

I am with you!! Color is of no importance, or shouldn't be!! I am caucasion, have five children. Daughter no.1 married a hispanic young man who went to college and is a police officer. They have one child of their own, one from Guatemala, and one from Korea. Daughter no. 2 married a "white guy", they have adopted a set of black twins..and so adorable are they! Daughter no. 3 married a young man who is half philipino, they have 2 sons of their own. I look at my family and realize they are just that!!! MY Family!!! And love, real love, doesn't see any color. I love every one of my little grandchildren as if they were my own children, they are just the neatest little people! You are so right...Humans are humans!!

You have been taught well. But other people don't have the same knowledge as you. Everyone who has problems with racism and things like that are too just too proud and I feel they are quite insecure. They just cannot accept people to be their equals. You cannot control people's ego. The only solution I can think of is to make those people be in the other persons shoes.
