My father was wrongly accused of a crime in 2000, he was a LEGAL alien of the U.S., but there is a law that states any person not a citizen of this country with a felony has to be deported. He was deported last year. My father is Portuguese.

If you were to deport *most* of my family back to their homeland, they would end up......right back here in the lovely Pacific Northwest.

So my answer is no.

If your father was wrongly convicted (which DOES happen) then i'm really sorry to hear that that happened to him. It's a travesty.

**mariposa, really? That's crazy, i've never heard of anything like that happening. Of course, like they say, sh*t happens.**

Your father was not just accused; in another post you say he was convicted. And I gave you the legal reference for his deportation.

Do you want sympathy? He could have applied for citizenship years ago. He's an idiot, and a criminal. Find a better class of relatives.

They tried to deport my best friend to Mexico. Get this, he's never been to Mexico. He's a full blooded Native American.
