Everyone single person I know says I would have made a magnificent mother. I can not see it. I am not maternal. I don't have the enormous amount of patience to raise a happy child. But then I have always wondered...

Why not? If that is how you feel, fine.
Personally, I have known since I am a teenager that having children was the most important thing in my life. But having them, I also know how much work and responsibility they are. So if you are not up to it, no one can blame you. I have a good friend in your situation. She is great with my children too.
So, just lead your life the way you want, really. There is no right or wrong here (my mum says the world is going mad, so who would want to bring kids to that world now?).
But if you may want them, you need to think hard. Women have this biological clock, as you well know. You do not want to regret having past this. Kids just change fundamentally your position in this world. It changes everything really.
All the best.

It is perfectly normal not to want kids. In fact it is a very responsible choice to not have them. Don't let anyone tell you that anything is wrng with that. I say if you don't want children, good for you. There are so many advantages to not having children. You will have more time and money for yourself. If you get married, you and your spuse will enjoy each other more. You will sleep much better at night.

I felt that way for a really long time. Everyone told me the same thing. I didn't see it either. Now I would love to have kids. But i don't think you are abnormal for not wanting kids, it's a choice not a requirement.

It is normal. You just don't feel like having them yet. Some people dream about kids all of their lives. Some don't wont them at all, but then suddenly realize that they want them. Some people don't want children until they meet that someone really special. Some want children but afraid to give a birth. Some people are afraid of responsibilities. :)

A lot of people don't want kids, people are people and everyone has their own wants and goals. A lot of people want to live their life for themselves and not have the responsibility of worrying about children it's perfectly normal. Though as people get older many who thought they didn't want kids change their mind.

To be a mother is something that some people won't feel until they know that they are on their way. You might be afraid of not being an excellent mother, but when you time comes, you will have the feeling of.

Kids are an enormous responsibility, and the decision to have them is extremely personal. When in doubt, don't. Your decision is yours alone. You would be the one raising them, not the people pushing you to have them.

Everyone HAS to decide at what point in their lives they are READY to have children.

Not just physically, but emotionally there to nurture and support, financially there to provide, and psychologically ready to deal with all the stress and probs that come along with kids.

People nowadays seem to rush in and have kids like it makes them all mature and Sh*t, but it doesn't.

Sometimes it is more mature by not having kids knowing you ARE NOT READY YET.
